For the design elements of this chair we drew on inspiration from African culture.

The Oromo chair gets its name from the Oromo people that actually use a wooden pillow to sleep on which is the original look that this chair is based on.

It has been enlarged from the size of a wooden pillow to an actual chair. However, the design shape looks quite alike.

We wanted to design a chair that has an unique African feel to it.

When we were looking for ways to do that, the pillow that the Oromo people use was the perfect choice.
