We looked at the classic Windsor chair for inspiration for this chair. It is believed that the origin of this design is Welsh and Irish designed “stick-back” chairs. In contrast to standard chairs the solid wood seat forms the backbone of this design. The backrest and leg spindles are tenoned straight into the seat. This is a revival of the original design in which we wanted to practically work with the chair’s lines, shapes and form. This chair is great for use in restaurants or for a farm house designed dining room. The revival of the classic chair brings a lot of new opportunity for our design team and we are working on a few more “modern” designs. Watch this space!
